Wait, spicy hermit cookies, are hermits part of the recipe? Spicy hermits? “…and decrease the surplus population.” Wow, this is creepy!

OMGoodness,a very disturbing thought occurred to me while trying to figure out this holidays reason for existence. Is it National Spicy Hermit cookie Day because one of the ingredients is to be hermits, spicy hermits?.

So what is the purpose of the day? Why do we pause on this day? Just for the cookies? Do you have a gluten-free recipe?
