NATIONAL SENSE OF SMELL DAY

Held on the last Saturday in April, National Sense of Smell Day is an annual observation sponsored by the Sense of Smell Institute.

Museums, children’s museums and sciences centers across the country participate in celebrating this holiday by offering hands-on activities and informational displays are also typically available, providing information about the sense of smell.

National Sense of Smell Day is focused on how the sense of smell plays an important role in daily life and how it interacts with other senses (particularly taste.)

NATIONAL SENSE OF SMELL DAY HISTORY

Our research has found that the Sense of Smell Institute sponsors National Sense of Smell Day, an “unofficial” national holiday, however we were unable to find it’s year of origination.
