NATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARIAN DAY – April 4

National School Librarian Day - April 4

NATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARIAN DAY

April 4th is National School Librarian Day.  It is set aside to honor all school librarians.  All of the daily hard work and dedication given from these librarians often go without our appreciation.

The school librarians aid our youth in many ways and their patience is an example to them on a daily basis.

To celebrate National School Librarian Day, take the school librarian a little gift or a card or tell them “Thank You” and that they are appreciated!

NATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARIAN DAY HISTORY

Our research has failed to find the creator of National School Librarian Day, an “unofficial” National holiday.

Curious why a “school-based” recognition would be scheduled for a Saturday when regular school is not in session. Makes it difficult for the school and/or students to recognize the person(s) on the appropriate day.
