NATIONAL PEANUT DAY

ANNUALLY CELEBRATED ON SEPTEMBER 13, IT IS NATIONAL PEANUT DAY.

FOR INFORMATION, SEE

http://nationalpeanutboard.org/the-facts/fun-facts/

“Peanuts, which grow underground, are rich in nutrients, providing over 30 essential nutrients and phytonutrients. Peanuts are a good source of niacin, folate, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium and phosphorus. They also are naturally free of trans-fats and sodium, and contain about 25% protein (a higher proportion than in any true nut).”

CELEBRATE

Crack open some peanuts and enjoy. Post on social media using #NationalPeanutDay to encourage others to do so as well.

HISTORY

Within our research, we were unable to find the creator of National Peanut Day, an “unofficial” national holiday.
