Events around the country are normally organized by block watches, non-for-profit organizations, companies and police departments.  These events can be as simple as backyard barbecues to full-blown festivals. Post on social media using #NationalNightOutDay to encourage others to join in paying it forward.

National Night Out has been celebrated since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of town Watch in the United States and Canada.
