NATIONAL BOOKMOBILE DAY – Wednesday of National Library Week

National Bookmobile Day - Wednesday of National Library Week (1)

NATIONAL BOOKMOBILE DAY

National Bookmobile Day is an annual event celebrated each April.  On this day we honor the access to information and resources our nation’s bookmobiles have made to our communities and the professionals that work diligently to provide these services. For more than 100 years.  Bookmobiles have brought a library to those that otherwise may not have access to one.

“A bookmobile is a large vehicle designed for use as a library.  It holds books on shelves in such a way that when it is parked, they can be accessed by readers.  The bookmobile may also carry other information and computer equipment.”
