National Auctioneers Day is celebrated every year the third Thursday in April. According to the National Auctioneers Association it is estimated nearly a quarter-trillion dollars in goods and services are sold by professional auctioneer’s each year. (http://www.auctioneers.org/)

CELEBRATE

To celebrate National Auctioneers Day take part in the National Auctioneers Foundation’s annual National Auctioneers Day drive or simply share your thoughts about auctioneers using #NationalAuctioneersDay on Social Media.

HISTORY

National Auctioneers Day is an “unofficial” holiday.  Our research was unable to find the creator or origin of the day.  We did learn that auctioneer’s reflect back on one of history’s oldest professions.  For more information visit http://www.auctioneers.org/events/view/national-auctioneers-day.
